Why my blog??

Welcome to my blog. Hopefully you will find it either insightful, interesting, or just plain entertaining. I try to talk about political, science or just interesting issues. If you are looking here to find out what the recent hairstyle of Justin Beiber is?? Sorry.

2012 Elections are coming up.

2012 Debates, and Issues, are already upon us. Though there aren't yet any front runners there certainly are some people that I would rather and rather not see in the Whitehouse. Obama is one of the rather nots.
At least Stewart Alexander has the cohones to actually declare himself Socialist and run for presidency than just tell the country what they want to hear. Does he really care about the
country or know anything about it? Read this quote and decide for yourself.
"I've been in 57 states, I think one more to go." - "President" Obama.

Live life don't work on it.

So many of my friends say they are trying to find a career that they enjoy. A job that they can do the rest of their life's. I think they are going about it all wrong. I want a job so that I can go out and ride a bike, sky dive, hang-glide, paintball, all the fun stuff that life is there for. It just seems to make more sense if you find a job that allows you to live life instead of waking up to work. Unless of course your job is Sky diving. Then by all means.

love,relationships, and sparks.

What exactly is it that draws two people together. Is it scent? Physical features? Personality? Is it different between two people. It is something that both sexes wish they knew. Wish they understood. I am one of them. I always thought that Relationships were a little more simple than people think. Though they do take some work. I always thought it was this simple. You enjoy talking with each other. There are plenty of things to talk about with your similarities yet enough differences to keep it fresh. You don't repel the other with any imparticular trait or personality fault, you are physically attracted to the other. Bang that simple. I don't really believe in "I feel in my heart he is right for me" that I think is just anxiety that I feel with somebody new. I think relationships shouldn't be based on a feeling or by just knowing it's right. It should be with somebody who makes you feel safe. Somebody you can spend all day with and not get tired of them. Somebody you can look at all day. Shouldn't it be that simple?? Isn't life complicated enough without adding even more confusion and unnecessary pain??

Gravity is an illusion??

To kick off my inaugural blog, I thought I would talk about Dr. Erik Verlinde from Amsterdam and his theory that Gravity is just an illusion.

So in the news story Dr. Erik Verlinde, a String theorist, says that gravity really doesn't exist. He says that it is more like a bi-product of the universe creating chaos. He compares it to frizzing hair: when the weather is hot and humid, your hair curls.

"Dr. Verlinde’s argument turns on something you could call the 'bad hair day' theory of gravity.
It goes something like this: your hair frizzles in the heat and humidity, because there are more ways for your hair to be curled than to be straight, and nature likes options. So it takes a force to pull hair straight and eliminate nature’s options. Forget curved space or the spooky attraction at a distance described by Isaac Newton’s equations well enough to let us navigate the rings of Saturn, the force we call gravity is simply a byproduct of nature’s propensity to maximize disorder."

Now this clip from the New York Times and all his quotes are very vague. He even states himself that his paper is vague. I don't know if you understood that comparison, but I didn't. I understood the original theory Written by Newton.
Gravity is a force. A force created by dense atoms. These dense atoms can be referred to as mass. The more mass, and the more dense the mass, the stronger the gravity and attraction. Then Einstein overturned this theory saying that gravity is actually warps in space time. This to me is harder to understand. Then Dr. Erik Verlinde comes up with his theory which makes even less sense. These theorys become more and more complicated.

Granted that is how Science evolves. At one time, the pinnacle of scientific discovery, was when we were able to rub two sticks together and create fire. Then it became more complicated. Where did the fire come from?? Could it be because friction causes energy; energy causes heat; and heat would eventually cause its surrounding ignition source to combust??

These theorys now a days. I like to compare them to Modern Art. Have you ever been to a MOMA?? Have you seen what they have on display?? Most of the items, look like you or I could have done them. It looks like these "artists" are just scam artists. They can dig around any trash can, take the items found therein, and super glue them together and say they are expressing their feelings.
I once saw a shoe. This shoe had a pencil sticking upright out of the center of the opening of the shoe. On the eraser was a thread spool. Hanging off the edge of the spool was a paper clip and attached to that, was a string with a ball of paper tied to the end.
Now to me, this just sounds ridiculous. The worst was walking into the museum, I saw a fan hanging from its cord. The fan was turned on and swinging across the lobby. To my dismay, I later discovered that the fan was actually an artists piece. But I digress.

Dr.
Verlinde says that gravity is an illusion but never gives a cause for it. The reason why it exists may be an illusion, but it IS there. Or when my sister fell of our hammock when she was 9 and broke her arm. Was that the universe's way of creating chaos in her life?? You must understand what I am talking about right?? There has to be a cause for gravity. Every effect has a cause, what is this one? Is it dark matter?? What in the world causes it?? I can feel it every day. The planets orbiting the Sun. That is caused by gravity. If anything this doesn't resemble chaos. It resembles symmetry.

Instead of lumps of rock floating around aimlessly in space colliding with each other creating numerous sites of unparalleled chaos, they are circling one gigantic ball of gas. They are orbiting this ball without colliding (although that sometimes does happen). They orbit one inside the other and other moons orbit those planets. This circular symmetry doesn't seem chaotic. Even the simplest of matter, atoms. They have an elliptical orbit with electrons. If they were chaotic they would be colliding all the time and the universe wouldn't exist.

Dr.
Verlinde please. Please explain why I should believe your theory. Maybe I am just not understanding you, maybe you are right, but I need it explained better. Somebody if you think you can clear this up by all means, don't hesitate to explain it.
